Slope Conveyor/Structure
Powell Construction Company performed all engineering, structural steel fabrication and erection, and mechanical installation of the slope conveyor and transfer structure. In addition, PCC assisted the owner with procurement of all mechanical equipment and subcontractor oversight. The slope conveyor consists of all conveyor structure/trusses, foundations, chutework, and mechanicals from the portal through the transfer.
Raw Coal Handling System
Powell performed all engineering, structural steel fabrication and erection, and mechanical installation. In addition, PCC assisted the owner with procurement of all mechanical equipment and subcontractor oversight. Raw coal handling consists of a storage conveyor, two (2) storage tubes, transfer conveyor, head houses, reclaim tunnel, reclaim conveyor, scalping screen, rotary breaker, and crusher.
Preparation Plant
Powell performed all engineering, structural steel fabrication and erection, and mechanical installation. In addition, PCC assisted the owner with procurement of all mechanical equipment and subcontractor oversight. The plant consists of a dual circuit with rewash facility based on the owner process flowsheet.
Clean Coal Handling/Storage/Loadout Facility
Powell performed all engineering, structural steel fabrication and erection, and mechanical installation. In addition, PCC assisted the owner with procurement of all mechanical equipment and subcontractor oversight. Clean coal handling consists of multiple storage conveyors for met and midds products, three (3) storage tubes, two (2) transfer conveyors, head houses, two (2) reclaim tunnels, met reclaim conveyor and loadout conveyor, sampling system, analyzer, and batch weigh loadout facility.
Refuse Handling
Powell performed all engineering, structural steel erection, and mechanical installation. In addition, PCC assisted the owner with procurement of all mechanical equipment and subcontractor oversight. Refuse handling consists of multiple overland refuse conveyors, transfer structures, and loadout bin.
