Slope Building (24 months)
Powell Construction Company performed all engineering, structural steel fabrication/erection, and mechanical installation of the Slope Conveyor Drives and Head Supports. All mechanical items were supplied by the owner. Powell set the Final Slope Hoist that is housed in the Slope Structure. Additionally, Powell installed the Slope Conveyor portion from the Mine Portal to the Slope Building (including foundations), with all structural and mechanical items being furnished by the owner. Powell furnished and installed the Charging Station and Loading Station, including structure and foundations.
ROM Transfer Conveyor (6 months)
Powell Construction Company performed all engineering, structural steel fabrication/erection, and mechanical installation of the owner-furnished drives and idlers. This project consists of the 7,439’-0” ROM Transfer Conveyor and Transfer Structure. This Conveyor will deliver ROM Coal from the Slope Conveyor to the tail of Raw Coal Storage.
Clean Coal Storage and Loadout (18 months - In Progress)
Powell Construction Company performed all engineering, structural steel fabrication/erection, and procurement of the mechanical equipment not supplied by the owner. Powell is installing mechanical items supplied by the owner. The Facility consists of two (2) Storage Feeders, Silo Feed and Transfer Conveyors, two (2) Storage Silos, Reclaim Feeders, Loadout Conveyor, and Unit Train Loadout Facility
Preparation Plant (48 months - In Progress)
Powell Construction Company performed all engineering, structural steel fabrication/erection, and procurement of the mechanical equipment not supplied by the owner. Powell is installating all mechanical equipment. The plant consists three 600 TPH Modules based on the owner process flowsheet.
